The free edition of the Imprint & VAT Check: the same code and the same row per website – legal name, address, register number, VAT ID, e-mail and phone from the legal notice, each with its status and source page – limited to 10 websites per run. EU VAT IDs are checked live against VIES; Swiss UIDs are outside VIES. Good for trying the data or for short lists.

Weekly quality check
Every Sunday an automated watchdog runs the live actors on Apify with fixed inputs whose correct answers are known, and checks the content of the results — not only whether the run succeeded. The results are published here as they are, failures included.

Sample against the original source: On 12 Oct 2026 we took 20 result rows and compared 127 field values one by one with the original source: 111 matched (87.4%).

Is it really free?
There is no actor fee. Runs use Apify platform time from your account; our test runs of up to 10 websites used less than one cent each.
What if I need more than 10?
The paid Imprint & VAT Check has no limit per run; it charges a start fee per run and an amount per website row.
How accurate is the data?
In a sample of 20 rows compared by hand with the source pages on 12 October 2026, 111 of 127 fields matched (87 %). Of the values delivered, 111 of 115 were correct; most misses were phone numbers or e-mail addresses the legal notice shows but the actor did not pick up.
Are person names included?
Managing directors and other named persons are off by default. In our sample of 12 October 2026, one sole proprietor's own name came through from the VIES register as the company name although person names were off – a known error.
What are the known limits?
Pages drawn only by JavaScript are not read – the row says so. A site that refuses automated requests comes back as blocked; switch on web_fetch to read it through Apify's Web Fetch instead (billed by Apify on your account, at most 3 pages). Swiss UIDs cannot be checked against VIES.
