Weekly check: Advertiser Check (Google & Bing)

Every Sunday an automated watchdog runs the live actors on Apify with fixed inputs whose correct answers are known, and checks the content of the results — not only whether the run succeeded. The results are published here as they are, failures included.

First public check on 25 Oct 2026. Until then this page lists what will be checked.

CaseResultTimeWhat is checked
zalando.de advertises on Google: found in the Ads Transparency Center, main advertiser Zalando, at least 1,000 ads– not checked yet–
  • row with input = zalando.de
  • googleStatus = checked_advertising
  • googleIsAdvertising is true
  • googleMainAdvertiser contains “Zalando”
  • googleMainAdvertiserMatchesDomain is true
  • googleAdCountMin ≥ 1000
  • googleTransparencyUrl matches ^https://adstransparency\.google\.com/
check24.de advertises on Google and on Microsoft (Bing): both platforms answered, the main Bing advertiser is CHECK24– not checked yet–
  • row with input = check24.de
  • status = checked_advertising
  • platformsChecked has at least 2 entries
  • googleIsAdvertising is true
  • microsoftStatus = checked_advertising
  • microsoftIsAdvertising is true
  • microsoftMainAdvertiser contains “CHECK24”
  • microsoftSourceUrl matches ^https://adlibrary\.api\.bingads\.microsoft\.com/
The same company entered twice (https://www.zalando.de/) gets one row marked as duplicate and is not checked or charged again– not checked yet–
  • row with input = https://www.zalando.de/
  • status = duplicate
  • duplicateOf = zalando.de
  • isAdvertising empty
  • note contains “Not charged”
A domain that does not exist is reported as invalid input, with the reason, and is not charged– not checked yet–
  • row with input = kein-unternehmen-perceptron-pruefung.de
  • status = invalid_input
  • reason contains “does not exist”
  • isAdvertising empty
  • note contains “Not charged”
Every input gets exactly one row with a status and the time of the check– not checked yet–
  • at least 4 rows
  • schemaVersion = 1
  • status is one of checked_advertising, checked_not_advertising, partial, unavailable, not_checked, invalid_input, duplicate
  • checkedAt matches ^\d{4}-\d{2}-\d{2}T\d{2}:\d{2}:\d{2}Z$
  • no duplicate input
  • holds for every row

What this shows: on the day of the check, the live actor gave the known answers for these inputs. It does not prove that every result is correct.
