MaStR Energy Assets
The Marktstammdatenregister (MaStR) of the Bundesnetzagentur lists Germany's electricity generating units and battery storage – 9.6 million entries on 12 October 2026. This actor exports them with plain filters – energy source, state, capacity, age, status – and by default returns only units with a named operator, because the register anonymises private individuals itself. Sole traders and partnerships (GbR) are registered under their trading names, which can contain a person's name.

FAQ
Is commercial use allowed?
The register publishes its data under the Datenlizenz Deutschland – Namensnennung – Version 2.0 (dl-de/by-2-0), which permits commercial use with attribution. Every record carries the source and the licence name.
Are private operators included?
Not by default. The register anonymises private individuals itself, and the actor keeps only units with a named operator. Sole traders and partnerships (GbR) are registered as organisations, so their names can still contain a person's name.
